Sheffield United transfer news: Blades handed potential transfer blow as short price offered on Tottenham star's Bramall Lane switch

It has been quiet on the transfer front for Sheffield United so far this transfer window.

However, that hasn’t stopped the Blades being linked with numerous deals in and out of Bramall Lane.

In non-transfer news, Sheffield United are poised to vote in favour of a move to introduce concussion substitutes when the Premier League holds its latest shareholders meeting today.

Despite helping to block proposals aimed at increasing the number of changes teams are permitted to make during the course of top-flight games earlier this season, officials at Bramall Lane will throw their weight behind measures designed to protect players suffering from traumatic brain injuries.

Well, Sheffield United and their Premier League rivals have been linked with some interesting incomings and outgoings this morning.

Indeed, the Blades have presented Jesse Lingard with a detailed set of proposals, outlining how they plan to use him at Bramall Lane, in an attempt to persuade the England international to join them on loan for the remainder of the season.

A dossier, describing the role he has been earmarked for both on and off the pitch, was compiled soon after Chris Wilder resolved to try and sign the Manchester United midfielder during this month’s transfer window; delivering a series of “recommendations” to his board of directors before Christmas.
