Parkhouse, a Northern Ireland under-21 international, has signed for Graham Westley’s strugglers after returning from a successful loan spell with League of Ireland Premier Division side Derry City.

Writing on Twitter, the 20-year-old said: “Delighted to have signed until the end of the season @StevenageFC. Great club and glad to be a part of it.”

"He is exactly the type of striker that thrives at Stevenage - honest, hard working, resilient, able to score and team first,” he said.

“I am thrilled to add his strengths to the mix. We have lacked goals and we are determined that our transfer window work will change that. "

Parkhouse is yet to make a senior appearance for the Blades.
