Sheffield Wednesday’s official relegation from the Championship was confirmed following a back-and-forth Steel City derby at Bramall Lane.

Sheffield United ran out 2-1 winners thanks for goals in the first half from Patrick Bamford and Harrison Burrows, before Kalvin Phillips saw red for the home side..

That changed the momentum of the game in the second half and despite Charlie McNeil halving the deficit for the Owls, a relegation that has been a long time coming was official confirmed.

The Star was out on the streets around Bramall Lane straight after the final whistle to get initial reactions to the afternoon’s action from both sets of fans.
