“The County FA is honing skills and attributes in its young players which we know many employers look for when they are recruiting apprentices. Being part of a team at work involves discipline and commitment – and requires you to support and encourage each other, just like footballers do.”

Richard Finney, marketing, communications and charity officer at the County FA said: “We are delighted to have The Source on our side this season. It is great news for our young players and a platform from which many relationships can be built.”

Last season the Under 16s Cup saw Sheffield FC (Greenhill FC) emerge victorious from the 93 teams taking part, beating Abbey Lane 2-0 in the final.

Added Richard: “We are looking forward to another exciting season as teams bid to have their name etched on the 2016-17 trophy.”
