SHEFFIELD came from a goal down to beat Garforth Town 2-1 away in the thrice postponed first round league Cup tie thanks to two second half goals from substitute Vill Powell.

Club trailed 1-0 to a Brett Mbalanda goal inside the opening 20 minutes. Former Stocksbridge striker Jack Muldoon, making his debut after signing from North Ferriby, had a snap shot saved at the start of the second half then Jamie Hadfield saw his header hit the crossbar.

Sheffield equalised when Powell back-heeled through a crowded area. Then after Warren Burrell had a header cleared off the line Powell fired home the winner in the last 10 minutes.
