On May 8, 2010, the Spireites walked out at the famous old ground for one last time. And as we all know, the match had a remarkable ending as Derek Niven struck a 96th minute winner against already promoted Bournemouth to spark wild scenes and a pitch invasion. Drew Talbot’s own goal had given the Cherries the lead just before half time but the Blues equalised with 10 minutes to go through Lester before Niven stole all three points. Unfortunately, Chesterfield narrowly missed out on reaching the League Two play-offs by just two points. Here are 16 pictures from our archive from that memorable day...
