EDLINGTON Royals moved to within three points of the Doncaster Highfield Property Sunday Alliance League Premier Division title with two games remaining after beating Armthorpe Coronation 8-2.

Liam Slack, David Poppleton and Sam Agar all bagged a brace with David Smith and Liam Nelthorpe also netting. Phil Doran and Lee Drobac replied for the home side.

ACS also had their shooting boots on, beating Spinney 10-3. Rockingham Arms had to settle for a consolation goal by Blake Freeman when going down 5-1 at home Acorn.

FC Dunscroft made sure of the Championship title with a 3-2 win at Drum. Third-placed Social Bar were held to a 3-3 draw by fourth-placed White Hart, for whom Leon Tarry (2) and Kyle Embury netted.

Stainforth (Steven Ross, Anthony Ross) signed off with a 2-0 win at Corner Pin. Eden Grove and Finningley Athletic (Peter Richardson 2, Ashley Fiddler) battled out a 3-3 draw.

Toll Bar beat Granby Trojans by the odd goal in nine. Bryan Craig 2, Paul Squire, Neil Rhodes and Aaron Dunhill shared out the winning goals.

Second-placed Sprotbrough (Daniel Taylor, Tom McLoughlan) missed out on the chance to win the Division One title with a game to spare after being held to a 2-2 draw by Hatfield Celtic, for whom Ricki Crompton scored both goals.

Third-placed Canal Tavern, one of three teams who can win the title, boosted their hopes with a 6-1 win at Park Social. Darren Brown (2), Glen Rafferty, Darren Howe, Philip Walton and Andrew Bembridge shared out their goals.

Stag Inn won 3-2 at Pegler Sports & Social. Adam Slater (2) and Daniel Hewitt netted for Stag with Tony Clough and Karl Hunter replying for Pegler.
