ROTHERHAM United manager Andy Scott has made his first two signings - with several more sure to follow.

Bradford City striker Gareth Evans and Derby County midfielder Ben Pringle have signed up for the new Millers era under Scott.

Evans, aged 23, played regularly for Bradford last season and can play either down the middle or out wide. Formerly at Macclesfield, he turned down a new contract at Bradford.

Pringle, 21, made three starts for Derby but was into double figures due to the number of times Nigel Clough put him on off the subs bench.

He captained the team that won the Reserves League. A hard-working midfielder, he can play centrally or in a wider role.

Before joining Derby in 2009, Pringle helped Ilkeston Town gain promotion to Conference North.

Popular right-back Dale Tonge has signed a new two-year contract at Rotherham.
