Scott lavishes praise on duo

ROTHERHAM United manager Andy Scott praised central defender Michael Raynes for playing in the defeat at Port Vale having been a doubt up to two hours before kick-off.

“He was sick all night and it was only at 1 o’clock that he agreed to play,” said Scott. “We gave Johnny Mullins his first start and intended playing him for only an hour but he had to stay on, so you have to praise their efforts.”

The Millers - at home to Sheffield United tomorrow in the JPT - slipped to eighth after the 2-0 defeat.
