MANAGER Steve Evans acclaimed his side’s performance against promotion rivals Fleetwood after returning with a vital point.
“This is a hard place to come but the home fans have seen their side forced to defend heroically throughout the second half and the Rotherham fans clap their side off,” said the Rotherham United manager.
“If we play with that sort of effort, passion, commitment and produce that sort of passing and movement then we’ll be fine. Their keeper has played a blinder and made three wonder saves to stop us winning.”
There were two injury blows with Kari Arnason, who fell heavily on his shoulder, and Jamie Devitt, a slight hamstring strain, both staying off at half-time.
“It says much that the lads who went on ensured that they weren’t missed,” Evans added. “Fleetwood are a good side but they won’t get troubled like that all season no matter who they play.”
