AFTER making six signings so far - and looking to add more - Rotherham United manager Steve Evans is preparing to offload one or two of his current squad.

He has already told one player that he won’t be figuring in his plans and is pondering over the likely first team prospects of another one.

Evans revealed that he had visited the departing player, who he did not name, so that he could discuss things personally with him and it is now a matter of the paperwork being finalised and then that player will leave.

The Millers boss says he feels it is essential that everyone feels they have a chance of being in the team at the end of the week.

“Every player has to believe he will play after a hard week of training,” said Evans.

The Millers are hoping to confirm Everton as the Premier League club they have been talking to over a pre-season New York Stadium appearance and they have also been speaking with Sheffield United.
