TWO second half goals from Alex Revell helped Rotherham United clinch a 3-1 victory at Stamford tonight.

The big striker registered in the 48th and 73rd minutes to round off the Millers pre-season programme in fine style.

The Millers got off to a flier when Revell’s striker partner, Kieran Agard, coolly slotted home from the edge of the box.

Gareth Evans audacious strike from distance rattled the crossbar and rebounded gleefully into the arms of Stamford goalkeeper Elliott Shilliam before Revell bagged his first from the spot after Agard had been brought down in the penalty area.

Just after the hour mark, Jake Gibson tapped in Jordan Smith’s cross to boost Stamford’s hopes.

However, Revell had the last word, making no mistake from close range after Alec Denton’s effort was spilled by Shilliam.
