ROTHERHAM United have decided not to keep on right-back Javan Vidal.
The former Manchester City defender played in the 3-2 win at Mansfield Town having appeared last week at Stocksbridge Park. The Millers had suffered injuries to their two main right-back candidates, Nicky Hunt and Dale Tonge, both out for a few weeks.
With Mark Bradley earmarked to play there, Vidal needed to show Millers boss Steve Evans he was better than what he had already got.
“He did well but we have to assess what we’ve got and I won’t sign players to go on the bench,” said Evans.
Tonight, the Millers send a side to Evo Stik League club Stamford - where Evans first managed - and midfielder Michael O’Connor is earmarked for a game.
