WITH seven signings in the bag, Rotherham United manager Steve Evans is pushing ahead with attempts to line up more recruits.
The Millers boss has had talks with a right winger who has been shown around the New York Stadium.
The player, a regular with a League One club last season, has gone away to think things over but is understood to be keen and Evans is hopeful something may happen by the end of the week.
The right-wing spot is one that Evans needs to fill and he also needs a left back. At the moment he hasn’t a natural left back at the club.
Evans says he is also seeking another striker.
Sheffield United have been confirmed as a “full capacity” friendly at the New York Stadium for Tuesday, July 31 (7.45pm).
First game sees the Millers play Barnsley at the required half-capacity, 6,000, on July 21 (3pm) and Doncaster Rovers at three-quarter capacity on July 24 (7.45).
The Blades have now been confirmed for a full capacity game at the end of July. Rotherham had been looking at a full-capacity game three days earlier.
