Rotherham United look poised to make a deadline day signing.

Manager Steve Evans said after the win over Coventry they expected to bring someone in yesterday - a player had agreed to join but nothing was finalised.

He declined to discuss positions but with Mark Bradley expected to be out for around a month after a scan revealed the extent of his groin injury, a defender could be on his radar as it left Richard Brindley as the only right back in the squad.

Something should be finalised today and with Tom Eaves recalled by Bolton this week, they have no similar cover for Alex Revell.

Ex-Miller Richie Barker has been sacked as Crawley manager. He’s been linked with the Portsmouth job.
