New Rotherham United boss Alan Stubbs has ruled out making a move for Hibernian hot-shot Jason Cummings.

Stubbs managed the coveted 20-year-old at the Scottish outfit last season.

But the Millers manager, who took the AESSEAL New York Stadium hot-seat last month, is adamant he won’t be raiding his former club.

“I wouldn’t go back for Jason,” he said. “I’ve said all along that I wasn’t going to be going back to Hibs for players. I’m not about to change my mind.

“I know we’ve been linked with him over the last few days. It’s certainly not come from us.”

Cummings has scored 46 goals in 109 appearances for Hibs.

But Stubbs said at his official Millers unveiling on June 2 that he felt it was “morally not right” to target players at his previous employers.
