The Millers are looking to bolster their squad ahead of a return to the Championship and have bids in for a number of players.

Reports in Ireland suggest the Millers will sign midfielder McEneff, who has already bagged 10 goals for the League of Ireland club with 13 games still to go in their season.

The 22-year-old, who penned a two-year contract extension in 2016, becomes a free agent at the end of the current campaign. The Irish league runs until the end of October.

This means the Millers will likely pay a nominal fee to secure the talented Northern Irish youngster’s services come July.

Manager Paul Warne has stated he will be “prudent” during the transfer window and his additions will likely be hungry youngsters willing to improve.

Loan midfielder Richie Towell, who played a pivotal role in the Millers’ League One play-off promotion campaign, plied his trade in the Irish league for almost three years with Dundalk before securing a move to Brighton.

Rotherham are keen on bringing goalkeeper Marek Rodak back to AESSAL New York Stadium on loan next term.

Rodak impressed for the club last term and talks are ongoing with Fulham over securing the Slovakian’s services for the upcoming Championship campaign.

Warne’s charges are heading off for a week-long training camp to Austria, just like they did last summer.

A lot of last season’s success was attributed to the pre-season stint in Austria, where the players trained three times a day ahead of the season.

Based 45 minutes from Vienna Airport, Warne’s men will be up early for the long hill climbs which the trip was famed for last time.

The squad fly out on July 8 and will play two friendlies against unconfirmed opposition. Rotherham’s first game will be Tuesday July 10, with the second scheduled for Saturday July 14.
