THE two signings that Rotherham United were planning have been put on hold.
Manager Steve Evans revealed that he had lined up a striker and a left-sided player, both from clubs in the The Championship.
Ahead of his team’s game at Wycombe Wanderers tonight, Evans confirmed that neither of them will be completed in the time frame expected.
The outcome of an X-ray on Mark Bradley’s ankle injury is awaited and Evans will assess the news on that and may have to bring someone in who can play full back, possibly covering positions.
The Millers boss said that he had therefore temporarily shelved the move for the left-sided player.
The plan to bring in the striker has been hindered by an injury to someone else at that player’s own club. Evans said that move had been ‘delayed’.
Central defender Craig Morgan looks set to return tonight for the first time since he broke an ankle in November.
