STEVE Evans is chasing a striker and a defender to cap off his major summer overhaul.
The Rotherham United boss has recruited 10 new players. Although Evans has not ruled out signing midfielder Scott Donnelly when the club returns from their training camp in Portugal, he has revealed he is bidding to bolster defensive and forward departments.
“We are just a couple of players away,” he said. “Paul Douglas (chief officer) is trying to agree terms with a striker. That would be great. We could maybe do with a defender who can play at centre-back or left-back.”
