ROTHERHAM UNITED: Millers boss set for loan deals

Have your say

Rotherham United could be set for some transfer movement next week.

Manager Steve Evans said that once next Tuesday’s home game with Rochdale is out of the way then something could happen.

It could be players going out on loan, although Evans says he is pursuing midfield and attacking targets of his own.

Midfielder Danny Schofield moved on loan this week to Accrington (he won’t be able to play against Rotherham when the teams meet on October 2).

Evans explained: “Danny is really most effective on the left side and we already have a couple of players down that side so we don’t want to carry three in one position.”

Assistant manager Paul Raynor is in charge today, with Evans starting his six-game stadium ban.

But the Millers boss - hoping to be able to have the game streamed live so he can watch - says they will keep in touch during the game.
