Rotherham United manager Steve Evans still wants a couple more signings and, ideally, would like them in before the club’s trip to Scotland in just over a week’s time.

In the aftermath of promotion, Evans said he was confident that he had the players to cope with League One and talked of bringing in just four or five newcomers.

The additions currently stand at six but Evans still feels the need to add further and, hopefully, can add a couple more.

He is also still likely to be focusing on a major signing. As speculated here some weeks ago, Bournemouth striker Matt Tubbs remains in that focus and Evans will be deciding how long he waits on that one and how persistent he can be.

Meanwhile, the son of Millers goalkeeper coach Andy Dibble, goalkeeper Christian Dibble, 19, has joined Barnsley from Bury.
