Rotherham United manager Steve Evans says he expects to make only half the number of signings he made last Summer at the time he began turning round the squad.
Evans had been in the job for a month at the end of the previous season when he embarked on a Summer mission to put together a squad to get promotion and he brought in 11 new players during the close season.
In all throughout the campaign he made 25 signings, either permanent or on loan with the last of them, left back Joe Skarz, arriving on deadline day in March.
“There won’t be the number that came in last summer, that’s for sure,” said the Millers boss.
“Perhaps we are looking at a handful, probably five in total to add to the squad but there will be a number of players going too.”
Evans said he was disappointed for Sheffield United that they had missed out in the League One Play-offs but said he looked forward to two cracking derbies against them with a guaranteed full house at the New York Stadium.
“That will be some atmosphere that day,” he added.
