ROTHERHAM UNITED: Fans are doing their bit - Evans

Have your say

WITH the New York Stadium set for another full house this afternoon, Rotherham United manager Steve Evans says he is delighted that the fans and the people of the town are responding.

“One of the reasons I came to Rotherham was for the support and the potential, well, they are doing their bit,” he said ahead of the clash with fellow League Two promotion rivals Bradford City.

“They have sold their allocation so the away end will be full and we were getting closing to selling all ours so there is going to be a great atmosphere in there.

“We’ve had a taste what it’s like when it’s full with the Burton game and the Sheffield United one before it but I reckon it will be a notch up tomorrow and our fans will be right behind us.

“They were great at Chesterfield, it was an excellent atmosphere there.

“It’s a big game between too fancied sides who are better than last season - we’re much better, Bradford much, much better because they were poor early on last season.”

Bradford arrive on the back of three successive wins including the Capital One Cup victory at Watford on Tuesday, a game Evans travelled to watch.
