Millers boss Steve Evans says little notice should be taken of Ipswich Town’s recent minor slump as they have been without star goal-getters Daryl Murphy and David McGoldrick.
The Tractor Boys’ New Year has got off to a disappinting start with just one win, against Milwall, recorded in January, however, Mick McCarthy’s men have been without the services of Murphy and McGoldrick for the past three matches.
The pair have scored 25 goals between them in this campaign and will be back in the the line up for the trip to the New York Stadium.
“They have slipped up but it’s no hidden secret that in that five or six-week period they have been without either McGoldrick or Murphy,” the Rotherham manager said.
“Together they are as good as anyone in the league. When you look at them you have got two talented boys who could arguably both play in the Premier League. They’ll both be playing and that makes our task tougher, but it’s certainly a game we are looking forward to.”
