RONNIE Moore appears to have missed out on the chance of a return to the game with newly-promoted Bury.

The former Rotherham United manager was believed to be among those who came under consideration at the League One newcomers who saw another ex-Millers boss, Alan Knill, leave for Scunthorpe a few weeks before the end of the season.

However, Moore is not believed to have been among those interviewed this week, with Bury seemingly set to name their new man tomorrow.

Ex-Millers and Owls striker Richie Barker, who moved up from the backroom staff when Knill left and led them to promotion, is in the frame with ex-Carlisle boss Neil McDonald.
