Rotherham United’s most loyal fans, including those who have stuck with them through the time at Don Valley, will be given first chance to choose their seats for the club’s inaugural season at the New York Stadium.

By today, Privilege Cards should have arrived with existing season ticket holders allowing them to purchase their seat for the 2012/13 season and up to three additional tickets for family and friends.

With an eye on the economic climate as well, the club has also introduced for the first time a direct debit scheme so fans can pay a deposit and spread the cost of their season ticket over a year.

Those supporters will be able to select their seats in the new stadium at a series of presentation events at Rotherham Council’s new Riverside House building adjacent to the new ground.

At the presentation events, fans will be able to find out more about the stadium’s facilities and seating options using a virtual ‘flythrough’ view of the entire stadium.

Millers chairman Tony Stewart said: “After leaving Millmoor four years ago, we are finally returning to the heart of the town, to a new stadium which will delight our fans and help us grow financially. The future of Rotherham United has never been brighter.

“We want our most loyal fans to be there with us, which is why we are offering existing season ticket holders the early chance to secure the very best seats.”

Season ticket prices start from £340 with disabled and student concessions from £205 and junior prices (age 5-15) from £105. In the East and West (Main) stands, season tickets are £375, £225 for concessions and £130 for juniors.

The club expect overall ticket demand to be heavy.
