Millers make first signing

Have your say

Rotherham United have made their first signing of the close season.

They have landed right back Richard Brindley, 20, who was with Chesterfield for the final months of last season.

He came through the ranks at Norwich City but was released last Summer and joined Chelmsford City where Chesterfield spotted him and he made a dozen appearances for them.

“I’ve followed him for a while and there was a Championship club interested as well, so we’re delighted to get him,” said Rotherham manager Steve Evans.
