NEW Rotherham United boss Andy Scott says he is still trying to ensure Ryan Taylor and Nicky Law don’t leave at the end of the season.

“It’s still up in the air,” said Scott. “Both are good players and we want to keep them here and we’ll do what we can within reason.

“Hopefully they’ll get to know me, my style and that I’ll do anything for my players so long as they give something back. I’m very protective of the group I get together and am prepared to fight tooth and nail to make sure they get what they deserve.”

He said he had a meeting planned with their agents.

Meanwhile, Kevin Ellison has left Bradford and returned to parent club Rotherham due to a persistent thigh injury. The 32-year-old not featured for the Bantams since sustaining the injury in training nearly seven weeks ago.

Rotherham official Howard Webb has been appointed as the referee for the match between Manchester United and Chelsea on Sunday.
