As more potential signings were pursued yesterday, Millers manager Steve Evans will hope for improvement to correct an imbalance in their home games as they prepare to entertain Crewe Alexandra.
Rotherham have won only one of their last eight home games in League One and they have done appreciably worse in the second half of those games than in the first half.
In the second half of those eight games, Rotherham have not bettered any of their opponents, ‘losing’ four of those halves and ‘drawing’ the other four.
By contrast, they have won four of their first halves, drawn three and only ‘lost’ one of them.
In only two of their 12 home games have they done better in the second half than their opponents, one of them against Sheffield United when coming from 1-0 down to win 3-1.
