ADAM Le Fondre will have an extra spring in his step for Rotherham United’s Sky televised encounter at runaway leaders Chesterfield tonight.

The diminutive forward, who has bagged 21 goals in 39 starts this season has been shortlisted for the League Two Player of the Year award.

Bury’s Ryan Lowe, the top scorer in the division, and Wycombe’s Gareth Ainsworth are also in contention for the prize. The winner will be revealed at a Football League awards ceremony on Sunday.

Le Fondre, nicknamed ‘Alf’, is expected to spearhead the Millers attack at the B2net Stadium as Ronnie Moore’s side look to end a run of four matches without a victory.

Moore has extended Liam Henderson’s loan deal until the end of the season. The forward has yet to open his account after five appearances.

Dale Tonge is set to keep the right-back spot if Danny Coid is out through injury while midfielder Mark Randall remains a doubt with a hamstring problem.
