ROTHERHAM United’s four goals in the first half were more than enough for the Millers to ease past Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium.
Steve Evans’ team scored a late equaliser against play-off rivals Southend on Saturday to remain seventh.
Neither team could make a breakthrough in the opening stages despite the Millers testing Oxford keeper Luke McCormick through Ben Pringle.
However, a four goal blast in a 15 minute spell before the break put Rotherham in control.
First David Noble scored from long distance after 30 minutes and then Kari Arnason doubled the lead as he headed home from a Pringle cross.
Johnny Mullins, who had scored the leveller at Roots Hall, made it three on 41 minutes and Pringle added a fourth from inside the six-yard box in the 44th minute.
It could have been five when Revell flicked a header into Frecklington’s path but his tame effort was marshalled away off the line by former Miller Michael Raynes.
Comfortable Rotherham had took to hitting on the break and brought on speedy Kieran Agard to help with that purpose.
Given the excitement at the end of the first half, the second half really dragged with Oxford failing to muster any dignity.
