The stadium, which has been tipped as a venue for matches should England win the right to host the UEFA Women's Euros in 2021, will welcome Phil Neville's Lionesses on Sunday 11 November.

After matches against Brasil and Australia in October, the game against Sweden will be the final of three international friendlies as England warm up for the 2019 World Cup in France.

England confirmed their spot at the World Cup with victory over Wales in Newport earlier in September and will look to improve on their record-breaking third place finish from Canada in 2015.

The decision to play the friendly in south Yorkshire is another boost after Sheffield United Women were awarded a place in the FA Women's Championship and the bid for the 2021 Euros listed both Rotherham and Sheffield as proposed host cities.

Barring any major setbacks, England are set to be awarded the rights to host the competition in three years' time as no other European countries entered a bid.

Tickets for the match, which kicks off at 1.30pm, are on sale now with early bird tickets costing £7.50 for adults and £1 for concessions.
