TWO of Rotherham United’s out-of-contract players, full-back Dale Tonge and midfielder Jason Taylor, could be set to stay on with the Millers.
Manager Andy Scott reckons he is close to confirming them for his new-look squad after indicating that he has a verbal agreement with the pair over new deals.
They were among six players offered contracts by Scott who showed the door to six of his squad at the end of the season whilst saying two more, Mark Bradley and Tom Pope, were being made available.
Tonge had to battle back from a foot injury which kept him out during the whole of the first half of the campaign. Taylor, after looking set to move last summer, won a place in the side and, in a consistent run, missed only a handful of games.
