ROTHERHAM United captain Ryan Cresswell looks set to miss Saturday’s trip to Port Vale after injuring his ankle.

The central defender picked up some ligament damage in training last week which rendered him unavailable for the game with Southend.

He has responded to treatment but is unlikely to recover in time for the trip to Micky Adams’s side and may face a battle to make the game at home to Burton a week later.

Troy Brown came in on Saturday but he was later replaced by Johnny Mullins, making his first appearance since April 2.

The reserves play Hull at North Ferriby tomorrow (7pm).
