Annerson in as Liddell eyes changes

ROTHERHAM United caretaker-manager Andy Liddell looks set to make changes for the game at Cheltenham today.

Liddell was unhappy with the second-half performance in the defeat to Morecambe a week ago and has admitted that alterations have been under consideration.

One change certain is in goal with Jamie Annerson coming in for Andy Warrington who has had stitches in a gashed foot which also had a slight fracture. Youth-team goalkeeper Jack Leyden, aged 17, goes along as cover.

Liddell also has Tom Pope available after being recalled from his loan at Port Vale.

Ryan Cresswell has been training this week and is back in contention while Ian Thomas-Moore has been striving to overcome a thigh strain.

Liddell says he expects a response following last week’s defeat but is also wary that Cheltenham will be smarting after their 8-1 drubbing at Crewe, for which their players publicly apologised.
