ROTHERHAM United manager Andy Scott declined to even hint if he would roll out the side’s changed formation again this afternoon but declared himself delighted with how it operated in midweek.
Danny Schofield, who has played central midfield and in a wider role this season, had a role in behind central striker Alex Revell with Lewis Grabban and Ben Pringle operating from wider areas.
“It was enjoyable for me to watch and if you play that well then you win games and you start getting more confidence,” said Scott.
“We need to get Scho’ on the ball. With that formation you can’t go long so you need to play out. It gives us options and makes us positive.”
He refused to be drawn over whether he will retain the formation for this afternoon’s home game with Paul Peschisolido’s Burton Albion.
Gareth Evans is expected to return after a foot injury. Marcus Marshall is also available.
