Rotherham United recall loanee from Chesterfield

Rotherham United have recalled former Sheffield Wednesday defender Richard Wood from his loan spell at Chesterfield.

It is not known if the 30-year-old will be in the Millers squad tonight for the match at Fulham.

The West Yorkshire-born 6 ft 3 ins centre half, signed for the Spireites on an emergency three-month loan, which was due to expire on January 23

But Rotherham pulled the plug on that deal today.

Wood began his career at Sheffield Wednesday and has also played for Coventry City and Charlton Athletic.
