The striker made 28 appearances for Paul Warne's side this season, in his second loan spell at the AESSEAL New York Stadium, and scored four goals.

He is swapping a promotion push for a relegation fight, but is still relishing the move to MK.

“I’m over the moon,” Morris said. “There were a few clubs interested in me but this was the most attractive option for me for various reasons - the team plays an attractive brand of football under the new manager and I know a few people here too.

“The team has gone to strength to strength with some good results recently and I think this is a good place to be.

"I can’t wait to get going and getting my teeth stuck into the big games we’ve got coming up.

“Hopefully I can help the team have a successful end to the season.”

Morris was a former teammate of his new manager Russell Martin and that was another decisive factor in making the switch.

“Me and Russ have been close for years,” he added. “He was very helpful to me as a young pro coming through at Norwich.”
