Rotherham United: Millers' chief not anticipating a busy January transfer window
Clubs can now be active again in the market, but Warne is only after a couple of fresh faces as he finetunes his Millers squad.
He is targeting some defensive cover, with Clark Robertson and Billy Jones ruled out for much of the next month, while a striker could interest him, especially if he is to lose any of his current firepower.

“I am not getting too excited about this transfer window, I don't think too much will happen,” he said.
“We might lose a couple so they will need replacing but my centre-halves, Billy is out for a bit, Robbo is out for a bit, maybe we need some cover and we are investigating that, but it won't be something that happens in the next few days.
“I'm not a person for a massive change in January, if you do a massive change in January you must have got something significantly wrong in the summer.

“We are missing a couple of players, I just don't think it will be the window of last year, I don't think there will be a lot going on.
“I would like to think we would get a couple in, but it depends on a chain. I don't forsee any incomings in the next couple of weeks.”
His plans may have changed following Robertson's recurring groin injury.

He will definitely be missing for the New Year's Day clash with Blackpool, while Joe Mattock begins a three-match ban.
Warne said of Robertson: “He has had a scan, he has got a problem with his groin again.
“Regrettably we are back to square one with him so he might be out for three or four weeks. He is seeing a specialist on Thursday, so it is a bit frustrating.
