Rotherham boss Paul Warne has called on his side to back up their impressive performance against Bournemouth when Brentford visit on Tuesday night.

The Millers put in their best display of the season in the 2-2 draw against the promotion chasers on Saturday to make amends for two poor defeats.

There is no time to pat themselves on the back, though, as last season's beaten play-off finalists visit South Yorkshire.

Warne wants his side to repeat their performance.

“I asked the lads to make their families proud of them, but it is not just about the result, it is about the level of performance, the level of effort, level of character and I thought all of those were up there,” he said.

“They have set a standard and our job is to keep that standard for the next 30 games.

“One swallow doesn't make a summer. We need to recover and get ready.

“The challenge is to play at this level over the next 30 games.

“I get frustrated when they don't play well because I know how good they are. It should give them confidence.”

Warne is likely to make changes given the quick turnaround before the televised match.

The boss will be forced into one change with central defender Michael Ihiekwe, an ever present so far, is suspended after picking up five yellow cards.

Matt Olosunde came off during the draw with Bournemouth with a hamstring injury and will be assessed.

“Matt Olosunde felt his hamstring just before half-time, so it was a sub I didn't want to make but it was tightening up,” Warne said.

“With a game coming up so quickly on Tuesday and Icky getting his fifth booking so that is an issue.

“We will have to look at the team and see how they feel but there is not much time to turnaround before the next game.”
