The County Durham official has only flashed his red card once this season in his 80 matches, dismissing Accrington’s Elliot Parish in an EFL Cup game against Bradford City.

He has refereed Chesterfield 11 times in his career, the Spireites winning two of those and earning 15 yellow cards and one red.

Nine of those games have been home fixtures.

The last time he took charge of a Town game was the final outing of last season when they lost 2-0 at Bradford City and had Sam Hird sent off.

Oxford United have won two of their seven games Webb has officiated and he has sent off two of their players in that time.
