Promotion joy after close win

DONCASTER 'A' did just enough to ensure promotion from Division Five of the Federation National Bowls League with a 426-418 win over South Lakes.

Doncaster, who finished runners-up to Bury, won the home leg 230-181 at Hexthorpe Flatts but suffered a 237-196 defeat in the away leg at Slyne.
