Kuwas, who plays as a winger for Heracles Almelo in the Eredevisie, has a price tag of £3.25million that Leeds were unable to meet in the summer window. He will be out of contract with his current club at the end of the season.

Brentford are in the hunt for a permanent manager to replace Dean Smith and a new name has been linked to the job.

Forest Green Rovers manager Mark Cooper is reportedly a contender for the role, although interim manager and Smith’s former assistant Thomas Frank is thought to be the front runner.

Aston Villa could be in line for a new transfer policy under Smith, who says he won’t just splash the cash to bring success to the club.

New players must have the right attitude and show potential to be considered by the Villa chief.

Ex-Birmingham City manager Harry Redknapp has tipped the Blues for a play-off spot this campaign and said he was never able to sign his main transfer targets while in charge at St Andrews.

Chelsea and Arsenal target Max Aarons has signed a new contract with Norwich City until 2023.
