Chesterfield have announced the signing of free agent Ched Evans.
The striker, who hasn’t played professional football for more than four years, was convicted of rape in 2011 and jailed in 2012 but had that conviction quashed in April.
He will face a retrial in October after pleading not guilty at Cardiff Crown Court in May.
