Plus points for Knights coach
DONCASTER Knights' backs coach, Justin Bishop, is looking forward to the club's second pre-season friendly at Leeds on Sunday after the encouraging performance at Newcastle Falcons in their first warm-up game.
Bishop said: "I was disappointed with losing as I thought we could have won. But there are a lot of plus points I can take from the game. Every player put his hand up to be selected for the first National League One match at Coventry which is encouraging .
"I was pleased with our defensive system, but there is still a lot of hard work to do. We withstood an intense battering from Falcons in the first ten minutes, but all four of their tries came from our errors.
"Another encouraging factor was the amount of line breaks we made. But we must learn to be patient and be able to finish our chances. That was the different between the two sides.."
