The Spireites caretaker boss had been hoping to get some minutes under the belts of some of his fringe players but last Tuesday’s practice match against Ilkeston Town was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

However, Town have managed to arrange a friendly tonight (7.30pm) against the second-placed NCEL Premier Division side at Inkersall Road.

Pemberton is keen to look at players who he has only seen in training so far.

The likes of Jay Sheridan, Anthony Gerrard, Joe Rowley and Charlie Wakefield are all expected to play.

Youngsters Levi Amantchi and Luke Rawson could also get a run out.

Ticket prices are £2 for adults and kids go free.

There will be a bucket collection as part of Staveley’s aim to raise £50,000 for a 3G pitch.
