Jerome Binnom-Williams and Josh Kay have both fallen out of favour of late at the Proact.

A summer 2017 signing, Binnom-Williams missed the start of the season with an ankle injury sustained on the club’s pre-season tour of Portugal and Spain.

He returned to action in November in the early days of Lester’s reign, but he hasn’t started a game since 6th January when he was withdrawn at half-time in the 4-0 defeat at Accrington.

Kay was brought in during the January transfer window from Barnsley and although he’s made eight starts, the midfielder hasn’t been in the matchday squad for the last four matches.

Lester was tight lipped on the reason for the pair’s omission, simply stating that they haven’t impressed sufficiently to get back into his plans.

“They’re just not in the squad at the minute,” he said.

“(They’ve) not shown enough desire to get back in.”

Binnom-Williams signed a two-year deal when he joined the club under Gary Caldwell’s management, while Kay’s deal runs to the end of the current season.
