Winning four games at home all season isn’t ideal, doubling that record away however is certainly more admirable.

The work of Danny Wilson is soon becoming noticeable, physically and mentally improving the squad, building a side destined for a play-off push in the future.

Previous success is just a glimpse into the future of the rapidly growing club, bringing true professionals onto the field of play- a club renowned for its for its professional work on and off the pitch.

Chesterfield FC is certainly a club with passionate and faithful supporters, following the town through rough spells, and trophy wins.

This club is one full of surprises. The signing of true professionals with the likes of Gary Liddle and Lee Novak, or the development of future players like Gboly Ariybi.

This side is one worthy of credit, hopefully the remaining games can reward them with it.

As it stands 18th place is enough to avoid relegation, but is it good enough to fill the fans with relief and the joy of avoiding the “stags” next season? The recent run of good form is enough to put faith behind the mighty Spireites, but will it be enough to survive the drop? Only the remaining games will tell.
