Vase victory cheers Town

After two consecutive home league defeats, Dinnington Town returned to winning ways in the FA Vase beating Division One rivals Grimsby Borough 2-0 at home.

Town who broke the deadlock four minutes into the second half, Danny Root finishing off an excellent move.

Dinnington sealed the tie with the second 18 minutes from time from debutant Dachi Khutshishvili from Georgia who came through the youth ranks at Dynamo FC and Locomotive FC.

Armthorpe Welfare thrashed Central Midlands League Kinsley Boys 10-0. Adam Lee hir four with the others coming from Joe Lumsden 2, Henry Sibenge 2 (1 pen), Aaron Jones and Chris Davies.

Division One Askern Villa pulled off a surprise result putting out Premier Division Hall Road Rangers 1-0, the goal coming from a Mark Vickerage 63rd minute penalty awarded for a trip.

AFC Emley went through beating higher level opponents Liversedge 3-2 away after extra-time. David Heagney hit the winner direct from a corner in the 102nd minute for his ninth goal of the session. Sean Hazelden and Mark Stewart got the others.

Worsbrough Bridge went out 5-1 at Scarborough Athletic despite Matty Roberts volleying the Briggers into a third minute lead.

Rossington Main also went out, 2-1 at home against Division One rivals Eccleshill United Main had led after 13 minutes through an Antonio Kennedy own-goal.

The top of the table clash in the Baris Premier Division between leaders Staveley Miners Welfare and second-placed Retford United ended 1-1. The Miners had defender Tom Jones sent-off on 20 minutes but it was the ten-men that went ahead on 59 minutes through Jordan Eagers. However, Retford hit back to level three minutes later through Barry Payne.

Parkgate stretched their unbeaten league run to five games thanks to a last minute equaliser in a 3-3 home draw against Tadcaster Albion. Parkgate scorers were Adam Shepherd, Gareth Clayton and Danny Barlow.

Maltby Main were beaten 2-0 at home by Brighouse Town, who climbed to third in the table.

Goals from Scott Bates and Tom Roebuck inside the first 21 minutes earned Handsworth a 2-0 win at Louth Town.

Division One leaders Worksop Parramore slipped up 2-1 at home against Albion Sports despite a Lee Thompson goal. the visitors took the spoils when Tony Vento grabbed the winner four minutes from time.
