AFTER ending a run of four defeats on the spin with a 4-1 win over Mexborough Town in the Sheffield Senior Cup. Parkgate are targeting a second cup success in the space of five days when they travel to take on North West Counties Premier Division outfit St Helens Town in the FA Vase First Round tomorrow.

Armthorpe Welfare are also on the road where they too face NWC opponents in AFC Liverpool, who put out Askern Villa 3-1 in the previous round. Armthorpe have lost five in a row.

In Division One, leaders Athersley Recreation will look to consolidate their four point lead at the top by extending their fine run to one defeat in 14 with victory over sixth-placed Grimsby Borough.

Worsbrough Bridge Athletic have a top six spot firmly in their sights after embarking on a run that has seen just one defeat in the last seven league games. And the Briggers hope to extend that sequence against Teversal at Park Road where they are undefeated in the league.

Hallam face a very testing away trip at Cleethorpes Town. The hosts have climbed to third in the table after taking maximum points from the last three games. Hallam have won only once in eight away trips although Julian Watts men did show promise in their narrow 3-2 away defeat at Sheffield FC in the Senior Cup on Tuesday.

Dinnington Town go to Hemsworth MW looking to bounce back from their surprise 1-0 exit in the Sheffield Senior Cup against Frecheville. Town have won three of the last four away.

Askern Villa face Albion Sports at Manor Way which sees a meeting between two inconsistent teams. Rossington Main will hope to halt a run of three consecutive league defeats at Yorkshire Amateur who have lost seven of the last eight outings.
